Netflix has announced the premiere of ‘Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper,’ a new desi gangster series starring Manav Kaul and Tillotama Shome, is set to debut on July 18.
Produced by musician Ram Sampath and showrun by Puneet Krishna, who also serves as a writer, the series promises a thrilling blend of comedy, chaos and crime, PTI reported from Mumbai.
‘Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper’ follows an ordinary man’s wild journey through a world of comedic mishaps, goons, and unexpected side gigs, eventually becoming the target of a dangerous gang of ‘halwaais’.
The series also features Shweta Basu Prasad, Sumit Gulati, Naresh Gosain, Naina Sareen, Faisal Malik and Ashok Pathak. Directed by Amrit Raj with Krishna as co-director, the show offers a rich narrative exploring themes of ethics, survival, and unintended consequences.
“Our amazing ensemble cast brought all the characters to life, adding so much depth and authenticity,” said Krishna, “And with Netflix‘s audience in 190 countries, it’s awesome to think our mix of humour and desi drama will reach so many people worldwide. It’s going to be a fun ride for everyone watching.”
Sampath, the producer and music composer for the series, teamed up with Anurag Saikia for the background score, while Anuj Samtani handled cinematography.
