Netflix Board of Directors has reappointed UN Ambassador Susan E. Rice to the Board, which she previously served on from 2018 to 2020.
Ambassador Rice has a long history of public service and is the only person to have served as both the President of the United States’ National Security Advisor and his Domestic Policy Advisor. Ambassador Rice was also a member of the President’s cabinet and the United States Ambassador to the United Nations.
She was also a Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at American University’s School of International Service, a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, a New York Times bestselling author, and a Contributing Opinion Writer for the New York Times.
Ambassador Rice previously served as the United States Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, as a Special Assistant to President Clinton, and as a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. Ambassador Rice’s career began as a management consultant.
She has served on the boards of several organizations, including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Bureau of National Affairs, The National Democratic Institute, and the US Fund for UNICEF.
Rice received her master’s and doctorate degrees in international relations from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar, as well as her Bachelor’s degree with honors from Stanford University. Ambassador Rice was born in Washington, DC, and is married with two adult children.
