Netflix has announced its upcoming series ‘Single Papa’, featuring Kunal Kemmu in the lead alongside Manoj Pahwa, Prajakta Koli and Ayesha Raza.
The show centres on Gaurav Gehlot, fondly called GG, a man whose emotional maturity is “a work in progress,” and whose impulsive choices set off chaos within his family, ANI reported.
According to the official note, the series begins with GG making an unexpected decision to adopt a baby immediately after his divorce, leaving his family stunned to the point that “they briefly consider rebooting him.” What unfolds is a wave of confusion, humour and heart as the Gehlots try to wrap their heads around how a man who regularly misplaces his socks intends to raise a child.
Kunal Kemmu, who takes on the role of Gaurav Gehlot, said the show captures the “messy, colourful chaos” that defines family life. Describing his character’s journey, he added, “Playing Gaurav, who is figuring out how to be a dad, made me laugh, cry, and reminded me how much parenting is trial and error, and a whole lot of love. I’m excited for everyone to meet my cute baby and join this joyride with my Great Indian Family!”
‘Single Papa’ blends humour and emotional moments as it explores modern parenting, relationships and the unexpected bonds that shape family life.
The series is set to premiere on Netflix on December 12.
