Ishaan Khatter–starrer ‘Homebound’, India’s official entry for the 98th Academy Awards, is gearing up for its global streaming premiere on 21 November, when it arrives on Netflix across 190 countries.
The film, which has drawn critical praise during its festival run, now makes the leap to a worldwide audience through the streaming giant. The report notes that ‘Homebound’ marks one of the few Indian Oscar entries to secure such an extensive international digital release, giving the film a significant platform ahead of awards season visibility.
‘Homebound’ is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, with Marijke deSouza and Melita Toscan du Plantier serving as co-producers.
The project also carries the creative heft of Martin Scorsese and Pravin Khairnar, who join as executive producers, adding global credibility and creative support to the film.
With its international premiere set and a powerful lineup of producers behind it, ‘Homebound’ is positioned to reach a massive audience as it begins its journey on Netflix later this month.
