India has secured a direct invitation to compete in the MOBA Legends: 5v5 tournament at the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026, following a strong performance in the ENC Rankings.

According to an Esports Foundatation press release yesterday, India is one of the 16 nations to receive a direct entry into the tournament after earning 2,600 ENC Ranking points. The competition will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 23 to 29, with 32 teams competing for a USD 1.5 million (around Rs.14.2 crore) prize pool.

India’s squad includes Gaithanlung Gonmei (Kyle), Susanta Biswas (Kimyy), Abhijeet Katkar (Asuna), Rithik Sohal (Romcom), and Evancius A. Sangma (Vann). Mohammad Saad (Apex) and Jay Mehta (J) have been named as reserve players, while Steve Vitug (Dale) will coach the team.

The core players recently represented True Rippers at the Mid Season Cup during the Esports World Cup 2026, where they became the first Indian team to compete in the tournament and finished among the top 16. Earlier this year, they also won the MOBA Legends Masters Series (MLMS).

Coach Steve Vitug said the team brings together players with different strengths and experience. He added that the focus over the coming months will be on building a strong team identity ahead of the tournament in Riyadh.

With this qualification, India has now confirmed its participation in eight esports titles at ENC 2026, including BGMI, Chess, EA SPORTS FC, Honor of Kings, MOBA Legends: 5v5!, Rocket League, Trackmania, and VALORANT.

India also has another opportunity to increase its representation at the tournament through the ongoing EA SPORTS FC South Asia regional qualifiers, where one more Indian player can qualify for the main event.
