Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s latest release, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, has sailed past the Rs.100 crore milestone at the worldwide box office, registering Rs.100.22 crore since its theatrical release. The film, which also features R Madhavan in a key role, continues to draw audiences with its blend of humour, relationship drama and star power.
According to a PTI report, the sequel, directed by Anshul Sharma, opened in cinemas on November 14 and has maintained steady momentum in both domestic and international markets.
The film follows the success of the 2019 hit ‘De De Pyaar De’, which starred Devgn, Rakul and Tabu, and also enjoyed strong box-office performance during its run.
The original film revolved around Ashish (played by Devgn), a wealthy man in his 50s who falls in love with Ayesha (Rakul), a woman nearly half his age, leading to tension within his family, especially with his ex-wife Manju, portrayed by Tabu.
The sequel builds on the characters and their complicated dynamics, exploring new chapters in their lives while retaining the emotional and comedic flavour that defined the first instalment.
‘De De Pyaar De 2’ continues to find resonance with moviegoers, driven by the returning cast’s chemistry and the fresh narrative spin introduced in the sequel.
