Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are back on the big screen with the trailer of the much-anticipated ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, bringing their signature comic timing and on-screen charm to audiences once again. The romantic comedy sequel sees the duo reprising their roles as Ashish and Ayesha, navigating the chaos and hilarity of unconventional love.
According to an ANI report, the trailer offers a glimpse into the comedy of errors that unfolds as Ashish tries to win over Ayesha’s parents, portrayed by R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor. The plot thickens when Ayesha fibs about Ashish’s age, resulting in a series of comical misunderstandings and awkward situations. The entry of Meezaan Jafri and Jaaved Jaaferi further adds layers of drama and laughter, while moments such as Ashish’s dilemma over whether to call his mother-in-law Bhabhi ji or Mummy ji highlight the film’s quirky humor.
Directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, alongside Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg of Luv Films, the film builds on the success of the original ‘De De Pyaar De’ (2019), which starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh. The first film revolved around Ashish, a 50-year-old divorcee, who falls in love with Ayesha, a woman half his age, exploring the challenges of age-gap romance, societal judgment, and the complications posed by his ex-wife played by Tabu.
‘De De Pyaar De 2’ promises to deliver a perfect mix of romance, comedy, and emotional moments, with fans eagerly awaiting its theatrical release on November 14, 2025.
