Founder and Managing Director of GTC Network Rabindra Narayan has given a Punjabi tadka(flavour) to cricket by announcing that the Punjabi channel GTC Punjabi will telecast the upcoming season of Legends League Cricket with Punjabi commentary, bringing the tournament to Punjabi-speaking audiences worldwide.
In a Facebook post late last week, Narayan described the development as a “big announcement for Punjabi cricket lovers worldwide”, stating that GTC Punjabi has partnered with the league to broadcast Season 4 of the tournament. The telecast will include 19 high-intensity T20 matches along with prime-time coverage and Punjabi-language commentary designed specifically for regional audiences.
According to the FB post, the coverage aims to provide a distinctive viewing experience by offering cricket commentary in Punjabi, allowing fans to follow the matches in their native language. Narayan said the initiative seeks to expand sports entertainment offerings on the channel while strengthening engagement with Punjabi viewers across global markets.
GTC Punjabi is part of the broader GTC Network, a global Punjabi media platform that produces television and digital content spanning entertainment, news, music, films and live events. The network operates multiple channels and platforms aimed at Punjabi audiences in India and across the diaspora.
Headquartered in India with operations and reach extending to markets including the UK, the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe, GTC Network distributes its programming through cable, DTH and streaming platforms. The company says its content strategy focuses on combining cultural storytelling with modern broadcasting technologies while serving Punjabi communities around the world.
With the Legends League Cricket partnership, the network is looking to further diversify its programming portfolio by adding high-profile sporting content to its mix of entertainment and cultural programming, positioning GTC Punjabi as a destination for both regional entertainment and live sports coverage for global Punjabi audiences.
