MY FM, the flagship radio brand of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has marked a major milestone with the launch of its radio stations in Bhuj and Gandhidham in Gujarat, becoming the first private FM broadcaster to go live in both cities. The expansion strengthens MY FM’s footprint in Gujarat and reinforces radio’s relevance as a powerful medium for local connection and community engagement.
The stations were formally inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at a grand launch ceremony, highlighting the growing role of radio in reaching people at the grassroots level. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister underlined radio’s ability to drive social awareness, promote positive change and preserve cultural identity, especially in regions where local voices matter the most.
The newly launched Bhuj and Gandhidham stations will offer a well-rounded mix of entertainment, local news, interactive programming and community-focused initiatives. Staying true to MY FM’s participative philosophy, the stations aim to make listeners active contributors rather than passive audiences, encouraging everyday engagement through conversations, local stories and on-ground connect.
The launch event saw the presence of senior dignitaries, industry representatives and MY FM’s leadership team, who reiterated the brand’s commitment to delivering credible, relevant and locally rooted content.
Speaking on the occasion, Patel said radio continues to be one of the most effective ways to connect directly with people, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ as an example of the medium’s unmatched reach and trust among citizens.
The latest launches also brings MY FM a step closer to its goal of becoming a 44-station radio network across India.
