Chess legend Magnus Carlsen has spoken about his game, rivals and approach to chess in an exclusive interview with Firstpost. He also discussed the mindset and consistency that have helped him compete at the highest level for more than a decade.
According to Firstpost, in the interview with Sports Editor Rupha Ramani, Carlsen discussed his playing style and how he prepares for different opponents. He also spoke about the new generation of chess players making their mark in the sport.
Carlsen talked about the growth of chess in India and the country’s young players. He shared his views on India’s rising position in world chess and also revealed who his biggest fan is.
The Norwegian chess player also spoke about the viral video of him banging the table after losing to India’s D Gukesh. He explained what was going through his mind at that moment and shared his views on the young Indian player.
