BBC Studios has announced the formal integration of its media and streaming business in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), and Asia into a single APAC region, under the leadership of Robi Stanton, who has been appointed to the expanded role of President, APAC Media & Streaming.
The move reflects BBC Studios’ commitment to streamlining its global operations and accelerating growth across key international markets, a company statement said yesterday.
Stanton, a respected media executive with deep experience across commercial strategy and regional leadership, joined BBC Studios earlier this year and has played a pivotal role in reshaping the business across Asia Pacific.
Marcus Arthur, CEO, BBC Studios Global Channels, Streaming and UKTV said in a statement: “Bringing BBC Studios’ media and streaming business in ANZ and Asia together under Robi’s leadership is a strategic step forward. Robi brings clarity, energy, and a sharp commercial lens to the region, and I’m confident this alignment will unlock new opportunities for growth and collaboration across APAC.”
Stanton added: “BBC Studios has an extraordinary portfolio and a talented team across Asia Pacific. I’m excited to lead this next chapter as we build a more connected and agile business, focused on delivering world-class content and experiences to audiences across the region.”
Prior to joining BBC Studios in March 2025, Robi held a range of senior leadership roles at CNN International, Warner Bros. Discovery and Turner International in both Australia and Singapore. She was responsible for overall business management and drove significant business transformation, leading teams across content, commercial, marketing, digital and operations.
