CNBC-TV18 has launched Season 4 of its flagship initiative ‘Future. Female. Forward. – The Women’s Collective’ with grand gala events in New Delhi and Mumbai, bringing together business leaders, policymakers, and changemakers to drive conversations around inclusive leadership and women’s participation in decision-making spaces.
Designed as an engagement-led experience, according to a press release from the business news channel, the Season 4 launch moved beyond traditional conference formats, combining business dialogue with storytelling, live interactions, and cultural elements. Across both cities, the initiative featured town halls, fireside chats, audience-driven segments, and the flagship ICONS felicitation, creating a participative environment that reflected India’s evolving leadership landscape.
Opening the season, Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor of CNBC-TV18, emphasised the need to translate intent into action on gender equity, noting that leadership and growth depend on ensuring women are equally represented in decision-making roles. Reinforcing this perspective, Hitendra Dave, CEO of HSBC India, highlighted that India’s next phase of economic growth is closely tied to expanding women’s participation across industries and at the grassroots level.
The Delhi chapter stood out for institutionalising the FFF Advisory Committee in collaboration with IMFA’s SakhiSeed initiative, aimed at supporting women micro-entrepreneurs through financial and mentorship support. The event also blended serious discourse with cultural engagement, including a performance by Aiyo Shraddha, adding relatability to conversations around gender expectations and ambition.
Audience participation remained central, particularly through the interactive segment ‘Take Your Stance: Hot Take or Hard Pass?’, which encouraged candid discussions on workplace equity, stereotypes, and leadership expectations. The Delhi gala also honoured a diverse set of changemakers across sectors, recognising contributions in areas ranging from defence and sports to social impact and education.
In Mumbai, the conversations continued with sessions focused on power, access, and advancement in leadership. Industry voices, including Vibha Padalkar, Anant Goenka and Jyotsna Suri, discussed the structural changes needed to build equitable workplaces. The chapter also spotlighted grassroots entrepreneurship, with leaders like Chetna Gala Sinha and Ajaita Shah highlighting the importance of financial inclusion and access to capital.
Prominent industry leaders such as Sunil Kant Munjal and Arundhati Bhattacharya underscored that inclusion is not just a social imperative but a strategic one for India’s growth, while Rajesh Varrier stressed the need for consistent execution to translate intent into tangible outcomes.
With its dual-city launch, ‘Future. Female. Forward.’ Season 4 has reinforced its positioning as a platform that blends business insight with cultural relevance, aiming to move beyond conversations and drive meaningful, measurable impact in building a more inclusive leadership ecosystem in India.
The initiative, according to a CNBC-TV18 press release, is presented by HSBC India, co-presented by Cognizant, and powered by Reliance Industries, with support from FICCI and IMFA.
