The upcoming episode of ‘Tum Ho Naa’ is set to strike an emotional chord, as host Rajeev Khandelwal is seen revisiting personal memories while interacting with a contestant who brings a slice of Rajasthan to the stage.
According to a SET press note, the episode captures a heartfelt moment when contestant Kanchan surprises Rajeev with authentic Rajasthani dishes, sparking a conversation that quickly turns nostalgic. As she presents the food, she remarks on his connection to Rajasthan, especially through his in-laws in Jodhpur. Rajeev responds with warmth, recalling local favourites like mirchi bada and dal baati, and even sharing how hing sourced from Jodhpur continues to be a part of his home, highlighting its distinct aroma and surprising value.
The interaction deepens as Kanchan introduces ‘ker sangri ki sabzi’ and explains its cultural relevance, especially for travellers from Rajasthan due to its long shelf life. Curious and engaged, Rajeev draws the audience into the conversation, reflecting on the region’s desert landscape and traditional food practices.
The moment soon takes a deeply personal turn. Speaking about his father, Rajeev shares, “Mere papa yahan nahi hain, lekin unhe yeh bahut pasand thi,” recalling how ker sangri was one of his father’s favourite dishes back in their village in Sawai. He adds that he plans to prepare it at home in his father’s memory, turning a simple food moment into an emotional tribute.
Adding to the sentiment, Kanchan presents him with a traditional Rajasthani safa. Wearing it, Rajeev reminisces about his wedding day, recalling how he last wore a similar safa while riding the ghodi, and how his father had specially arranged a vibrant, multi-coloured turban for the occasion. The anecdote brings a gentle, nostalgic close to the interaction, blending emotion with light humour.
With its mix of culture, memory, and personal storytelling, the episode highlights how everyday moments can carry deep emotional meaning. ‘Tum Ho Naa’ airs Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and streams on Sony LIV.
