According to a PTI report, the streaming platform confirmed the release date on Tuesday, following the strong critical response to the first season, which was widely appreciated for its layered characters and grounded narrative. The upcoming instalment is expected to build on that foundation, while introducing a new case that tests the investigators in unexpected ways.
Actor Barun Sobti will reprise his role as Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, a character that became central to the show’s emotional depth in the first season. The new season will also see Mona Singh join the franchise in a key role, adding a fresh dynamic to the narrative and expanding the series’ ensemble.
The first season of ‘Kohrra’ stood out for its restrained storytelling, focusing as much on the personal conflicts of its characters as on the crime they were investigating.
