The latest beta version of WhatsApp’s end-to-end encrypted messaging service for Android has been redesigned to include a dual-panel interface for tablets.
According to ANI, a tech news website, in these cases, such new features are typically tested in the beta channel for weeks or even months before being made available to everyone.
On tablets, the two-panel UI makes a lot more sense than just an enlarged version of the phone Design, so hopefully, the same logic will apply here.
Although it lacked the split view, the first version of WhatsApp compatible with Android tablets was made available to beta testers last year. Users can test out the new user interface, which appears to be rolling out now to those in the beta program.
The chat list is always visible on the left, allowing you to quickly jump between conversations without having to go back. The Calls and Status tabs also support a split view.
