Netflix has announced the second season of its romantic drama series ‘Musafir Cafe’. The upcoming season will continue the journey of Chander, Sudha and Preeti, bringing back the emotions, relationships and unanswered questions that connected with audiences.
According to a Netflix press release,the first season of ‘Musafir Cafe’ connected with viewers through its emotional storytelling, soulful music and relatable characters.
The series explored themes of love, choices and how timing plays an important role in relationships. Announcing the new season, Tanya Bami, Series Head, Netflix India, said that ‘Musafir Cafe’ sparked conversations among viewers around its characters, ending, dialogues and music.
She added that romance continues to be an important genre for Netflix and Season 2 will be a part of the platform’s upcoming slate.
Creator and writer Sharanya Rajgopal expressed gratitude for the response from audiences and said that the love shown towards Chander, Sudha and Preeti encouraged the team to continue their journey.
She added that the new season will be a tribute to everyone who connected with the story. Created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal and directed by Ruchir Arun, ‘Musafir Cafe’ is based on characters from Divya Prakash Dubey’s novel.
The series is produced by Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) and Homemade Stories and stars Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, Mahima Makwana, along with Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui.
