Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday launched the Kannada and Hindi versions of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel at Tirumala in the presence of Sri Subudendra Thirtha Swamy of Mantralayam Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt.
The 24-hour devotional satellite TV channel in Telugu was first launched by the then President Pratibha Patil in 2008 and a decade later it started airing content in Tamil as well, PTI reported from Tirupati.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) governs the ancient hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara.
The channel broadcasts all annual religious events and festivals such as Nityotsavams, Varotsavams, Pakshotsavams, Masotsavams, Samvatsarotsavamsm including Srivari brahmotsavams, religious discourses, Parayanams, documentaries on important pilgrims centers, etc.
Following frequent appeals from Kannada devotees across the globe Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has launched SVBC-Hindi and SVBC-Kannada channels for the sake of Hindi and Kannada speaking devotees of Lord Venkateswara located worldwide.
TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, MPs PV Midhun Reddy, Dr. M Gurumoorthy, state ministers, YSRC MLAs, and TTD officials took part in the event.
