Mathrubhumi Group has launched a new Onam campaign featuring two creative themes ahead of the festive season. According to a Mathrubhumi Group press release, the campaign aims to showcase how the company’s print, television, digital and radio platforms help brands connect with audiences during Kerala’s biggest festival.
The first campaign, titled ‘Legends of Onam’, celebrates the festival’s rich traditions by featuring iconic characters such as King Mahabali, Onapottan and Kummatti. Inspired by traditional Kerala mural art, the campaign highlights Mathrubhumi’s long-standing relationship with Malayalis and its role in celebrating Kerala’s cultural heritage.
The second campaign, ‘Unspoken Onam Ritual’, focuses on the everyday traditions that have become part of Onam celebrations over the years. It shows how Mathrubhumi’s newspaper, television channels, radio stations and digital platforms have become a regular part of festive celebrations for many families across generations.
M V Shreyams Kumar, Managing Director of Mathrubhumi Group, said the campaign reflects Kerala’s traditions while showcasing the company’s ability to help brands build meaningful connections with consumers during the festive season. He added that Mathrubhumi’s integrated media network enables advertisers to reach audiences across multiple platforms.
Miriam Paul, Associate Creative Director at Maitri advertising, said the campaign highlights the value of partnering with a trusted and culturally relevant media brand during Onam, one of Kerala’s busiest advertising seasons.
