TVF’s rural drama ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ continues its strong run with the second season crossing 3.5 million views on Prime Video India, securing a place among the Top 10 most-watched OTT properties in India.
The achievement comes shortly after the release of Season 2, which premiered globally on June 23. Building on the popularity of its debut season, the series has once again struck a chord with audiences through its simple storytelling, relatable characters and authentic portrayal of rural India, Prime Video said in a press release.
The makers announced the milestone on social media, celebrating the show’s growing popularity across the country. In their post, they highlighted how the fictional village of Bhatkandi and its ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ have resonated with viewers nationwide, further strengthening the show’s position among the most-watched streaming titles in India.
Created by The Viral Fever (TVF) and directed by Rahul Pandey, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ earned widespread appreciation with its first season for its grounded narrative, emotional depth and realistic depiction of life in a rural healthcare setting. The series quickly emerged as one of TVF’s most appreciated recent productions, winning praise for balancing humour, emotion and social relevance.
Season 2 continues the journey, exploring new challenges and relationships while retaining the warmth and authenticity that made the show popular among audiences. The latest season’s strong viewership numbers suggest that the series has successfully expanded its fan base beyond its initial following.
Over the years, TVF has established itself as one of India’s most influential digital content creators, delivering successful shows across genres through its focus on realistic storytelling and relatable narratives. Productions such as Panchayat, Aspirants and Sandeep Bhaiya have helped the company build a strong connection with viewers across the country.
The production house recently attracted attention at Prime Video Presents with an extensive slate of upcoming projects. Alongside new films such as Vvan and College Fest, TVF announced fresh series including Pyramid and Vansh. The company also confirmed new seasons of several fan-favourite shows, including ‘Aspirants’, ‘Panchayat’, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’, ‘Sapne vs Everyone’ and ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’.
With Season 2 continuing to attract viewers and generate positive word-of-mouth, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ has further reinforced TVF’s reputation for creating stories rooted in everyday experiences. The latest milestone reflects not only the popularity of the series but also the growing audience appetite for content that combines authenticity, emotion and relatable storytelling.
