Dish TV India Limited has announced the resignation of its Chief Technology Officer, Veerender Gupta, with effect from the close of business hours on June 30, 2026.
According to regulatory filings submitted yesterday to the NSE and BSE, Gupta will also cease to be part of the company’s Senior Management Personnel following his resignation. However, the move does not mark his departure from the Dish TV group.
The company clarified that Gupta’s exit is part of an internal organisational restructuring. His employment is being transferred from Dish TV India Limited to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dish Infra Services Private Limited, where he is expected to continue contributing to the group’s operations.
In his resignation letter addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Gupta stated that the transfer of employment to the subsidiary was the sole reason for stepping down from his position at the listed parent company.
The transition reflects a structural adjustment within the organisation rather than a leadership exit. As CTO, Gupta has played a key role in overseeing the company’s technology functions and supporting its broadcasting infrastructure and digital initiatives.
Dish TV has not indicated any changes to its broader technology strategy following the move, suggesting that Gupta’s expertise will continue to remain within the group through his new role at Dish Infra Services.
The development comes as media and broadcasting companies increasingly streamline operations and strengthen specialised subsidiaries to manage infrastructure and technology-related functions more efficiently.
With Gupta continuing within the Dish TV ecosystem, the transition is expected to ensure continuity across ongoing technology and infrastructure projects while supporting the group’s operational objectives.
