Indian esports organization S8UL Esports has qualified for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 in Free Fire MAX, marking its sixth game title at the prestigious global tournament.
The qualification came after S8UL finished as the runner-up at the Free Fire MAX India Cup (FFMIC) 2026 Spring. The result earned the team one of the three Indian spots available for the Esports World Cup.
According to a S8UL Esports press release, S8UL’s Free Fire MAX team includes Naitik Sharma (Troll), Prince Saini (Prinxz), Jay Verma (Bunny), Harshit Nain (Jack07), and Abhishek Gupta (Stiven). The team impressed throughout the tournament with consistent performances and finished second in the Champion Rush stage. Along with the qualification, the team also won Rs.17 lakh in prize money.
The Free Fire competition at the Esports World Cup 2026 will be held in Paris, France, from July 15 to 18. A total of 24 teams from across the world will compete for a prize pool of USD 1 million (approximately Rs.9.4 crore).
Reacting to the achievement, team captain Prince Saini said the team’s strong coordination and trust in each other played a key role in the qualification. He added that the players are excited to represent S8UL and India on one of the biggest stages in esports.
S8UL Co founder and CEO Animesh Agarwal (8Bit Thug) said the qualification is a proud moment not just for the team but also for Indian esports. He said competing against the world’s best teams will help Indian players gain valuable international experience and further strengthen the country’s esports ecosystem.
Apart from Free Fire MAX, S8UL has already qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026 in Honor of Kings, Chess, Trackmania, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. The organization is also aiming to qualify in EA SPORTS FC, Fatal Fury, Street Fighter 6, and Tekken 8.
