ZEE5 has launched a redesigned streaming experience with better content discovery, AI-powered features and a wider range of entertainment.
According to a ZEE5 press release today, the new experience is available on mobile devices and Connected TVs. It offers personalised recommendations, AI-based content discovery, better navigation and a smoother experience across screens.
The platform now has five main sections: Premium Entertainment, Free 5, KidZ, TV and Sports. ZEE5 has also added an AI-powered customer support assistant to help users with subscriptions, playback, content access and device-related issues.
Over the last quarter, ZEE5 expanded its content offering by securing the rights to the FIFA World Cup 2026 and 2030 and adding content across seven languages. The platform has now announced a new premium English entertainment slate in partnership with PVR INOX PICTURES and LIONSGATE PLAY.
The English slate includes ‘Normal’, featuring Bob Odenkirk, Henry Winkler and Lena Headey; ‘The Invite’, featuring Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, Edward Norton and Olivia Wilde; ‘Anxious People’, starring Angelina Jolie and Jason Segel; ‘Babies’, featuring Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick; ‘The Wizard of the Kremlin’, starring Jude Law; ‘How to Make a Killing’, starring Glen Powell and Margaret Qualley; ‘Tony’, featuring Dominic Sessa; and ‘Paper Tiger’, starring Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson and Miles Teller.
ZEE5 is also revamping Free 5, its free entertainment service. It will offer series, movies, Korean and Chinese dramas, anime, news, micro dramas and creator content across more languages, genres and formats without requiring a subscription. The expanded offering will also create more opportunities for advertisers to connect with different audience groups.
Tejkarran Singh Bajaj, Business Head ZEE5 India and AI & Innovation, said the platform is focused on making entertainment easier to discover through personalisation and AI. He added that ZEE5 is expanding its English content and Free 5 offering to give audiences more choice and depth.
Pramod Prakash, Chief Technology Officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said the company focused on making the overall streaming experience simpler and easier to use. He added that the redesigned platform is being built to work better across devices as viewing habits continue to change.
ZEE5 said the changes are aimed at making entertainment easier to discover, more personalised and more convenient for viewers across India.
