ZEE5 has announced a new Malayalam entertainment slate featuring original shows, films, reality content and major sporting events. The line up brings together drama, romance, football, music and other formats for Malayalam-speaking audiences.

According to a ZEE5 press release from Kochi today, the slate includes football-themed titles such as ‘Panthadikkam’, featuring Mammootty and Vyshakh Perambra, and ‘Malabar Cup’, starring Ashwant Lal and Vineeth Vasudevan.

Other upcoming originals include ‘A Queen’ and ‘Secrets of Vellimala’, produced by TrendsAd; ‘Bangalore Boys’, produced by Aroma Movies and starring Shabin Shahul, Rishi Kaini, Pranav and Amrutha; and ‘Sathyameva’, produced by Aroma Movies and starring Rony David Raj.

ZEE5 will also offer ‘Corporate Love Story’, ‘Muthassi’ and ‘Yakobinte Koodaram’. The platform is further expanding into hip-hop reality content with ‘Kerala Underground’, featuring The Imbachi, Dabzee, Parimal Shais and MC Cooper.

The Malayalam line-up will also include post-theatrical releases such as ‘Balan: The Boy’, featuring Chidambaram, and ‘Uyir’, starring Roshan Andrew.

Sports will also remain an important part of ZEE5’s offering, with properties including FIFA, Bundesliga, Serie A, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana and ILT20.

ZEE5 will also offer animated titles such as ‘Aiyappan’, ‘Garuda’, ‘Vikram Vetal’, ‘Shiv Sati’, ‘Chandrakanta’, ‘Tirupati Balaji’, ‘Narmada’ and ‘Ram Anjanay Yudh’. Its kids’ content slate includes ‘Barbarik’ and ‘Kundaka Mandakka’.
