ZEE5 has announced the exclusive digital premiere of the Tamil horror-comedy ‘House Mates’, slated to stream on September 19, 2025. Directed by T. Raja Vel, the film blends horror, fantasy, comedy, and emotional drama, offering audiences a refreshing take on supernatural storytelling.
Produced by Sivakarthikeyan and S. Vijayaprakash under the SK Productions banner, House Mates features Darshan and Aarsha Chandini Baiju in lead roles, alongside Kaali Venkat, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Dheena, Abdool Lee, and Master Henrik. The film’s music is composed by Rajesh Murugesan.
The story follows newlyweds Karthik (Darshan) and Anu (Aarsha Chandini Baiju) who move into an apartment, only to encounter eerie happenings tied to another family in a parallel timeline. What begins as a normal domestic life soon spirals into a mysterious puzzle where humour, fear, and fantasy collide.
Speaking on the release, producer Sivakarthikeyan said, “House Mates is very close to my heart. It’s a story with the right balance of mystery, humour, and freshness. With ZEE5, I’m excited that audiences everywhere can now enjoy and celebrate this film on a digital stage.”
Darshan, who plays Karthik, added, “This project allowed me to explore fear and comedy together. It’s quirky, fun, and layered with emotions. I’m thrilled ZEE5 is bringing it to audiences across the globe.”
