‘Ajagajantharam’, the action-packed Malayalam drama, is set for its world television premiere on Zee Anmol Cinema on October 17 at 7 pm. Directed by Tinu Pappachan, the film takes viewers deep into the heart of a bustling village festival where ego clashes and power struggles lead to chaos and conflict.
Featuring a gripping storyline, ‘Ajagajantharam’ stars Antony Varghese, Kichu Tellus and Arjun Ashokan in lead roles, navigating both physical and emotional challenges as their characters become entangled in a web of pride and survival. The unique bond between an elephant and its Mahout forms a central theme of the film, adding cultural depth to the explosive storyline, UNI reported.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of the annual temple festival in the fictional village of Aranjali, the film explores how pride, camaraderie, and the raw essence of human emotions spiral into a turbulent conflict. As various groups — including a drama troupe, local troublemakers, and a notorious criminal — clash, the festival descends into mayhem, highlighting the fragility of harmony amidst deep-rooted egos.
Director Tinu Pappachan, speaking about the premiere, said, “This film holds a special place in my heart, and after the overwhelming response in theaters, I believe it’s time for the larger Indian audience to experience the energy, action, and intensity of the story.”
Antony Varghese echoed this sentiment, adding, “This film was an intense and rewarding experience for me, and the energy we brought to the screen is something I hope resonates with viewers at home.”
