Zee 24 Taas, Maharashtra’s leading Marathi news channel, has announced the special telecast of ‘Krushi Sanman 2025’, an event dedicated to honouring the resilience, innovation, and contributions of farmers and agri-entrepreneurs.
The telecast will air exclusively on Zee 24 Taas on Saturday, September 20, at 2.30 pm, and Sunday, September 21, at 2.00 pm.
According to a press release, ‘Krushi Sanman 2025’ went beyond the idea of a traditional award ceremony, becoming a platform of empowerment and dialogue. By honouring progressive farmers who have adopted modern techniques, sustainable practices, and entrepreneurial approaches, the initiative reaffirmed that agriculture is not just the backbone of India’s economy but also the heartbeat of rural transformation.
The event also shed light on pressing challenges such as shrinking landholdings, rising input costs, and the growing impact of climate change, while spotlighting inspiring stories of farmers who embraced innovation.
The gathering saw the participation of key dignitaries, including Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne, Cabinet Minister for Employment Guarantee Scheme, Horticulture, and Salt Pan Land Development Bharat Gogawale, and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol. Their presence underscored the significance of collective action in shaping the future of Indian agriculture.
Kamlesh Sutar, Editor of Zee 24 Taas, described Krushi Sanman 2025 as “a movement that celebrates resilience and ushers in change.” He said the channel is determined to act as a bridge between farmers, government, and innovators so that agriculture becomes a model of sustainable prosperity.
Agriculture Minister Bharne, speaking at the event, noted that his personal background as the son of a farmer gave him a deep understanding of the struggles and aspirations of India’s farming community. “Agriculture today is about courage, adaptability, and innovation. Events like Krushi Sanman strengthen our resolve to honor farmers, promote sustainable practices, and ensure rural prosperity,” he said, assuring continued government support for farmers.
Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO of Zee Media Corporation Limited, added that the initiative reflects Zee Media’s role as a voice of change and progress. “With Krushi Sanman 2025, we are honouring the heroes of our soil while also recognising the innovators who are reshaping agriculture. This is about creating a long-term ecosystem where knowledge, policy, and innovation converge for the benefit of farmers,” he said.
By combining recognition, dialogue, and expert insights, ‘Krushi Sanman 2025’ positioned itself as more than a one-time celebration. It highlighted agriculture as the foundation of India’s economy and a driving force of rural prosperity and national progress, while setting the tone for resilience, innovation, and inclusive growth in the years ahead.
