YouTube Music, owned by Google, now has mood filters, i.e. a “activity bar” with different moods, to customize what appears in the web’s Home feed.
According to IANS, the web version is left-aligned (like on tablets) and appears beneath the app bar, which can be used to switch between Home, Explore, Library, and Search.
Instead of rectangles with rounded corners, pill-shaped buttons are used for a less Material You look.
By selecting one of the options Energize, Workout, Relax, Commute, or Focus, YouTube Music is updated with a feed of songs, albums, and playlists that correspond to the mood.
Furthermore, the music streaming platform updates the top background image.
According to the report, users will need to click the mood they selected again to return to the main feed.
Meanwhile, YouTube Music is said to be testing a feature called “live lyrics” along with a new Casting user interface (UI).
The new feature has already been received by some users.
