Meta-owned WhatsApp is gearing up to revolutionize video calls with a new feature in development that will enable all participants to collectively listen to music and video audio during screen sharing.
This anticipated feature, being worked on for iOS and Android, aims to elevate multimedia collaboration. Users will have the ability to sync and enjoy audio content together while engaging in video conversations, IANS reported from New Delhi.
According to analysis, this innovation underscores WhatsApp‘s dedication to enhancing user experience and innovating within the competitive messaging app landscape.
The new feature is expected to unlock fresh avenues for collaboration, fostering real-time discussions and shared enjoyment of multimedia content among users.
Simultaneously, WhatsApp is rolling out a novel feature for select beta testers through the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2350.3.0 update from the Microsoft Store. This update introduces the ‘manage emoji replacement’ feature, granting users greater control over their messaging experience.
The feature allows users to disable the text-to-emoji replacement option, providing enhanced customization within the messaging platform. To check if this feature is available, users can navigate to the app settings and locate the toggle under the general tab.
WhatsApp’s continual innovation in both multimedia collaboration during video calls and user-controlled features showcases its commitment to enhancing user interaction and functionality within the app.
