WBD rolls out Republic Day programming slate across kids’ channels

Warner Bros. Discovery is ushering in the new year with a vibrant line-up of action-packed and adventurous programming across Cartoon Network, POGO and Discovery Kids, marking Republic Day with special content curated for children and families. Throughout January, the network is rolling out movie premieres, themed stunts and popular daily shows that blend entertainment with messages of courage, unity and fun.

According to an Economic Times report, the Republic Day-focused programming forms a key part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s strategy to strengthen event-led viewing on its kids’ channels. The slate is designed to combine high-energy storytelling with familiar homegrown characters, making national celebrations engaging and accessible for young audiences.

POGO will kick off the Republic Day weekend with the premiere of ‘Chhota Bheem: Flying Dholakpur’ on Sunday, January 25 at 11.30 am. The action-filled film follows Bheem and his friends as they battle a new threat when Ulketu, the exiled brother of scientist Dhoomketu, attacks Dholakpur using a meteor-powered flying island. The adventure places a strong emphasis on teamwork, innovation and bravery, reinforcing the idea that true strength lies in unity.

The patriotic mood continues on Monday, January 26, with Republic Day with ‘Little Singham’ airing from 9.30 am onwards, featuring a day-long stunt packed with action and festive cheer. POGO will also continue airing ‘Omi No.1’ through January, following the humorous escapades of the mischievous yet kind-hearted Omi.

Cartoon Network, meanwhile, is lining up superhero fun for the holiday, with ‘Teen Titans Go! Back-to-Back Movies’ airing on Republic Day from 11.30 am onwards. The channel will also keep weekday mornings lively with its Comedy Block, featuring popular shows such as ‘Lamput’, ‘Larva’ and ‘Om Nom Stories’, delivering fast-paced humour and light-hearted storytelling from Monday to Friday.

Discovery Kids is joining the celebrations with ‘Fun Ki Parade’ on Republic Day, airing from 9.30 am onwards and showcasing episodes of ‘Titoo’ and ‘Fukrey Boyzzz’ that mix school-life antics with moments of national pride. The channel will also continue its ‘Titoo-Thon’ through the month, bringing viewers the character’s everyday misadventures on weekdays from 1.30 pm.

With a mix of marquee movie premieres, special Republic Day stunts and popular daily favourites, Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids’ channels are aiming to deliver an engaging start to 2026, using entertainment to celebrate togetherness, courage and the spirit of the occasion for young viewers across the country.
