The global stage of the 77th Cannes Film Festival witnessed the unveiling of the teaser for Vishnu Manchu’s epic action film ‘Kannappa,’ generating a wave of excitement and anticipation.

The film’s team announced that the teaser would be released worldwide on June 13, following a special screening for select audiences on May 30.

The official X page of ‘Kannappa’ shared images of the cast and crew at Cannes, highlighting the positive reception the teaser received from international distributors and audiences. The caption read, “Team #Kannappa after screening the teaser, garnering an overwhelmingly positive response from international distributors and international audience, as well as everyone who saw it at #CannesFilmFestival A special screening of the teaser for select audiences on May 30th, with the teaser set for worldwide release on June 13th.”

Rooted in Indian culture, ‘Kannappa‘ narrates the legendary tale of Bhakta Kannappa, known for his unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva. The film promises a universal theme of devotion and loyalty, appealing to audiences worldwide.

Vishnu Manchu, overwhelmed by the positive response at Cannes, expressed his excitement: “I am excited after witnessing such fantastic reactions. During the Q and A session, we had a lot of questions come from people about whether we plan to release the teaser internationally. They were so thrilled to see what we had created. The ‘Kannappa’ team made a stylish appearance at Cannes. Director and choreographer Prabhudeva, producer Mohan Babu, and actor Vishnu Manchu walked the iconic red carpet before attending the premiere of ‘Horizon: An American Saga’. Vishnu was accompanied by his wife, Veronica, with the couple dressed in black, sharing their Cannes moments on social media.

‘Kannappa‘ is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Manchu’s banners AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The film features a stellar cast including Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhoo, and Mukesh Rishi. It will be released in multiple languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English. Notably, stars Prabhas and Akshay Kumar have special roles in the film.

The 77th Cannes Film Festival, held from May 14 to May 25, is renowned as one of the most prestigious film festivals globally, making it an ideal platform for the ‘Kannappa’ teaser launch.
