Actor Varun Dhawan has teased an exciting update about his upcoming OTT series, ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny,’ co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, through a series of photos posted on his official Instagram account.
Dhawan, who recently welcomed his first child with wife Natasha Dalal, is gearing up for several projects, with ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ being highly anticipated by fans.
On Instagram, Dhawan shared pictures of himself holding stuffed toys, hinting at an imminent announcement. In the photos, he donned a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and a brown jacket while holding two blue bunnies. He captioned the images, “Expecting good news 01.08,” signaling an event scheduled in Mumbai on August 1 to reveal the premiere date of the series, UNI has reported from New Delhi.
Fans reacted humorously to the post, speculating whether Dhawan had taken his daughter’s toys. Comments included, “Baby Dhawan be like papa, why are you stealing my toys?” and, “I think lil bunny wants her bunnies back.”
‘Citadel: Honey Bunny,’ directed by Raj & DK and produced by D2R Films, boasts a star-studded cast, including Samantha, Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saqib Saleem and Sikandar Kher.
The series, a part of the Citadel universe, combines elements of a gritty spy action thriller with a love story set in the 90s. Produced by Anthony and Joe Russo’s AGBO, it will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
