Mumbai, March 20, 2026: Amazon MX Player’s latest socio-political thriller ‘Sankalp’ is drawing attention for its intense narrative and powerhouse performances, with actor Kranti Prakash Jha opening up about his experience of sharing screen space with veteran actor Nana Patekar.
According to a press release, the series, set against the political landscape of Bihar and Delhi, explores the slow and strategic build-up of power through mentorship, loyalty and ambition. ‘Sankalp’ marks Nana Patekar’s OTT debut, where he plays the commanding role of Ma’at Saab, leading a strong ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Neeraj Kabi, and Kubbra Sait.
Reflecting on his experience, Kranti Prakash Jha described working alongside Nana Patekar as both overwhelming and rewarding. He recalled that his very first day on set involved shooting an emotionally intense scene, which pushed him as an actor. He credited the collaborative environment and the vision of filmmaker Prakash Jha for helping him deliver his best performance, noting that being surrounded by such strong creative forces encouraged him to “surrender” to the craft rather than overthink.
Jha also highlighted the show’s layered storytelling, particularly its nuanced depiction of power dynamics. He shared that the writing offered a fresh perspective on political influence, prompting deeper reflection during the filming process.
