In a key leadership move in the media and entertainment space, Umesh Bansal has stepped down from Zee Studios and is set to take over as Managing Director and CEO at B4U/IVY. His transition marks a notable shift in senior leadership within the industry.
According to Industry updates,Bansal will continue with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited until May 31, 2026, after which he will formally move into his new role. During his tenure at Zee Studios, he played a significant role in shaping the studio’s film strategy and expanding its presence across theatrical and digital platforms.
His move to B4U/IVY comes at a time when content companies are increasingly focusing on scaling global distribution, partnerships, and diversified content portfolios. With his experience across content creation, distribution, and monetisation, Bansal is expected to drive the next phase of growth for the network.
The transition also reflects the ongoing churn at senior levels in the media and entertainment sector, as companies look to strengthen leadership teams to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving content ecosystem.
