TV9 Bangla has said it organised what it described as India’s biggest education expo, bringing together leading educational institutions under one roof, while also felicitating meritorious students and educational institutions through the fifth edition of the Uttaran Academic Excellence Honour.
According to a press release from the Bengali channel yesterday, the Uttaran Academic Excellence Honour programme will be telecast on July 2 in the pre-noon period and will also be available on its YouTube channel. The event was originally held on June 24
The education expo offered students and parents information on a wide range of academic disciplines, professional courses, emerging career paths and skill-based programmes, helping them make informed higher education choices after board examinations, according to a company release.

Vikram, TV9 Bangla Managing Editor and Business Head Amritanshu Bhattacharya, SRMB Srijan Director Ashish Beriwala and KL University Assistant Director Shiva Kumar.
As part of the initiative, TV9 Bangla recognised meritorious students from backward and tribal communities who had excelled academically despite socio-economic challenges. Students honoured included Labani Mondal, Adrija Gan, Manimala Besra, Sagar Mondal and Alia Paul, among others.
The ceremony also felicitated educational institutions for contributions to academic excellence, innovation, student development and societal progress.

Speaking on the occasion, Vikram said, “Uttaran Academic Excellence Honour is our humble initiative to acknowledge and celebrate institutions that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to academic excellence, innovation in education, student development, and societal impact.”
He added that the initiative seeks to highlight “stories of commitment, perseverance, innovation, and leadership that truly deserve recognition and appreciation.”
