The upcoming episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 5 will bring a special dose of nostalgia as veteran actor and filmmaker Chandrashekhar Narvekar shares the story of how he first discovered Madhuri Dixit and later cast her in the blockbuster film ‘Tezaab’.

The special episode, themed around ‘India Wala Dance’, will feature Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, and Dharna Durga celebrating the spirit of dance and entertainment. during a candid conversation on the show, Chandrashekhar Narvekar recalled the first time he met Madhuri and the impression she left on him.

According to Sony Entertainment press release, sharing the memory, Narvekar revealed that he was working as an editor on the film ‘Bajrangi’ when he first saw the actress on a film set. He said that although Madhuri may not have remembered the incident, he still clearly recalled meeting her during the shoot.

However, Madhuri immediately surprised him by saying that she remembered the film and even recalled that filmmaker Babu Garu was directing it. Narvekar agreed and went on to explain that something about the young actress caught his attention during that first meeting.

He revealed that when discussions began for the casting of ‘Tezaab’, Madhuri Dixit was his first and only choice for the role. according to him, he never considered anyone else for the film because he had been deeply impressed by her presence and talent from the moment he first saw her.

Narvekar also spoke about how circumstances worked in his favour while bringing the project together. He shared that actor Anil Kapoor and his secretary Rakesh Nath played an important role in making the casting process smoother, as Rakesh Nath was also associated with Madhuri at the time.
The filmmaker described the entire process as a matter of good fortune, saying that when luck is on your side, everything falls into place. his decision to cast Madhuri eventually proved to be a landmark one, as ‘Tezaab’ went on to become one of the biggest hits of its time and helped establish Madhuri Dixit as one of Bollywood’s leading stars.

The heartwarming revelation offered fans a rare glimpse into the early days of Madhuri’s career and highlighted the belief Chandrashekhar Narvekar had in her long before she became a household name.
