In a conversation during Netflix’s ‘The Actors’ Roundtable 2023’, she revealed that her character is a grieving mother who becomes a detective after a tragic incident where her child is shot in the opening scene. This loss pushes her to leave her hometown and take on a challenging case in a new city.

Kareena shared that this role is particularly special to her, marking her debut as a detective—a genre she is passionate about. She described the character as emotionally taxing, grappling with intense grief, yet found joy in the challenge. She even requested the director to extend the story into a four-part series, reflecting her deep connection to the role, which she described as a career-defining moment.
