Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE) has expanded its sports portfolio by acquiring exclusive broadcasting rights to the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (DP World PGTI). The partnership will bring professional golf tournaments to viewers through ZEE’s sports channel bouquet, Unite8 Sports, and its digital platform, ZEE5.
According to The Economics Times report today, the 12-month agreement covers 20 tournaments during the season. ZEE will provide up to 120 hours of live golf coverage, along with dedicated programmes from each event.
The partnership is part of ZEE’s plan to expand its sports offerings and reach audiences interested in different sports. The company’s existing sports portfolio includes the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A and the ILT20 cricket league.
Led by former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, DP World PGTI features several prominent Indian golfers, including Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, the 2025 Order of Merit champion; Saptak Talwar, the 2026 Order of Merit champion; Veer Ahlawat, the 2024 Order of Merit champion; Shaurya Bhattacharya, a former India No. 1 amateur; and multiple-time PGTI winner Angad Cheema.
Bavesh Janavlekar, Chief Business Officer of Unite8 Sports at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, said the partnership aims to increase the visibility of Indian golf and bring the stories and achievements of its players to a wider audience.
DP World PGTI President Kapil Dev also said the association with ZEE5 and Unite8 Sports would help expand the reach of professional golf in India, connect with existing golf fans and introduce the sport to new audiences.
The partnership marks another step in ZEE’s efforts to build a diverse sports portfolio and bring different sporting events to viewers across India.
