Sony LIV has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming original series ‘Real Kashmir Football Club’ an inspiring retelling of how two determined men transformed a region’s love for football into a movement of pride, unity, and hope.
Streaming from December 9, the series traces the incredible journey of two visionaries who dared to dream big and built from scratch the first professional football club from Kashmir to compete in India’s top-tier league eventually leading it to national triumph.
According to a press release, the trailer captures the grit, emotion, and camaraderie that fuelled this remarkable rise from muddy local fields to the national spotlight. Starring Manav Kaul and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in powerful lead roles, the series beautifully encapsulates the pulse and unbreakable spirit of Kashmir through the unifying force of sport.
Manav Kaul shared, “Being a Kashmiri, this story holds a special place in my heart. Real Kashmir Football Club is not just about football it’s about faith, resilience, and the belief that even in the toughest times, something beautiful can emerge. It’s the story of hope in its purest form.”

Produced by Jaya Entertainment, Oshun Entertainment, Kapital Entertainment, and SK Global Entertainment, the series is directed by Mahesh Mathai and Rajesh Mapuskar, and written by Simaab Hashmi, Umang Vyas, Dhruv Narang, Danish Renzu, and Mahesh Mathai. It also stars Abhishant Rana in a pivotal role.
The creative team including executive producers Kilian Kerwin, Vishakha Singh, Jeff Sagansky, Florence Sloan, Aaron Kaplan, Matt Aragachi, and Michael Hogan — has crafted a series that celebrates the indomitable human spirit and the power of sport to unite and heal.
