One of India’s premier creative institutions, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) to foster collaboration between film education, strategic management and innovation.
Announcing the partnership in a LinkedIn post, FTII described the agreement as a “historic milestone”, bringing together the two premier institutions to create an interdisciplinary learning ecosystem for students and professionals.
The collaboration, unveiled November 2, will focus on joint workshops, targeted training programmes, academic research, entrepreneurship and technology-driven initiatives.
The partnership aims to combine FTII’s expertise in film education with IIM Ahmedabad’s strengths in management and strategic thinking.
The pact was formally signed by Santosh Ojha, FTII’s Head-Strategy and Innovation and Diptesh Ghosh, Dean-Programmes, IIM Ahmedabad.
The signing ceremony was attended by other senior faculty members and officials from the two institutions.
According to FTII, the partnership will seek to foster interdisciplinary learning by bringing creative and managerial perspectives together through collaborative academic and industry-oriented initiatives.
“We look forward to the profound impact this synergy of creative artistry and managerial leadership will bring to students, industry professionals, and the global creative economy,” FTII said in its LinkedIn post.
