Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL), one of India’s leading media and entertainment companies, has announced the appointment of Sonal Gupta as its new Senior Vice President – Syndication through their Linkedin post. Effective November 2024, Gupta brings over 15 years of industry expertise to her new role, strengthening Zee’s global syndication and licensing strategies.
Gupta’s illustrious career spans leadership roles at prominent media companies. Her most recent position was as Head of Content & Alliances at One Life Studios, where she oversaw global syndication and acquisitions. She successfully drove business development through content licensing, distribution, and partnerships with renowned production houses, solidifying the studio’s global presence.
Prior to One Life Studios, Gupta held senior roles at IndiaCast Media, Videocon D2H, and Neo Sports Broadcast. Across these roles, she focused on international content syndication, digital platforms, and business development, cultivating a deep understanding of global markets and building a robust network in the broadcasting ecosystem.
At Zee Entertainment, Gupta will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s syndication strategy, enhancing content reach, and expanding its global footprint. Her proven ability to identify market opportunities and curate partnerships aligns with Zee’s vision of strengthening its position as a global content powerhouse.
