The makers of the highly anticipated supernatural thriller ‘Nikita Roy’, starring Sonakshi Sinha, have announced a fresh release date. Initially set to hit theatres on June 27, the film will now premiere on July 18, 2025, as confirmed today by the producers.
According to an official statement, the team decided to postpone the release to avoid a “battle for screens” with several other major films opening on June 27. Among these competing releases are Brad Pitt’s ‘F1’, Kajol’s ‘Maa’, and the Telugu action drama ‘Kannappa’. Sonakshi, Arjun Rampal, and Paresh Rawal lead the cast of ‘Nikita Roy’, a suspense-filled story directed by Sonakshi’s brother, Kussh Sinha, and penned by Pavan Kirpalani.
Shared on Instagram, Sonakshi expressed gratitude toward her supporters and explained the rationale: “With advice from our well-wishers… we have collectively decided to push our release to the 18th of July… we promise you July 18 will be worth the wait!”.
The rescheduling offers the film a better opportunity to shine when audience attention won’t be divided. ‘Nikita Roy’ follows the journey of its titular character navigating eerie supernatural mysteries and features a talented supporting cast including Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar.
