JioHotstar has released the trailer of its upcoming family drama ‘Sangamarmar’, a series centred on relationships, personal sacrifice and the passage of time.
Presented by Jio Studios and produced by Rajshri Productions, the show is directed by Vikram Ghai and will begin streaming from February 26, 2026, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
According to several news agency reports, the series explores themes of love, family and life choices across two timelines spanning 25 years. It follows Amrita, who prioritises family responsibilities over her personal ambitions and her relationship with Aditya, and traces how that decision shapes their lives over time.
The show stars Sheen Savita Dass and Sourabh Raaj Jain in lead roles, alongside Smita Bansal, Khalid Siddiqui, Farooq Saeed, Swati Tarar, Jaya Ojha and Avinash Wadhwani.
Acclaimed filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya described ‘Sangamarmar’ as a story rooted in familiar family dynamics, focusing on the complexities of relationships and the patience required to sustain them. He said the narrative reflects the love, misunderstandings and emotional effort that define real-life bonds, adding that collaboration with Jio Studios and JioHotstar helped bring the story to audiences in an authentic manner.
Lead actor Sheen Savita Dass, who plays Amrita, said the character stands at the centre of the story, carrying the weight of family decisions while often choosing responsibility over personal happiness. She noted that portraying Amrita’s journey across different phases of life required exploring her emotional conflicts, compromises and resilience. Dass also described working with Barjatya as a significant milestone, given the filmmaker’s influence on stories centred around family relationships.
Sourabh Raaj Jain, who essays the role of Aditya, said the series highlights enduring love that remains steadfast despite changing circumstances. He said the story reflects emotional honesty and commitment, adding that collaborating with Barjatya for the first time was a memorable experience.
Smita Bansal, who portrays Vasudha, called her character the emotional backbone of the family, emphasising the lasting influence of a mother’s love on future generations. She noted that the series celebrates family bonds and emotional strength through its narrative.
With its focus on intergenerational relationships and evolving emotional journeys, ‘Sangamarmar’ aims to present a grounded family drama that examines how time can challenge and heal relationships.
