The makers of ‘The Chosen’ have officially announced that the sixth season of the widely followed series will premiere on November 15, marking the next chapter in the show’s expansive narrative journey. The new season will debut with a three-episode launch, followed by weekly releases continuing through December 6.
According to an ANI report, the announcement was made by Prime Video and 5&2 Studios, along with the unveiling of a teaser image that offers a glimpse into the upcoming season. The release strategy indicates a structured rollout aimed at sustaining viewer engagement over several weeks.
Season 6 is expected to explore one of the most pivotal phases in the storyline, focusing on the final 24 hours leading up to the crucifixion. Creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins emphasised that while audiences are familiar with the broader narrative, the series aims to delve deeper into the emotional and contextual layers behind these events. He noted that the scale and significance of the story warranted not just a television season but also a larger cinematic treatment.
In line with that vision, the season finale will receive a theatrical release in spring 2027, alongside the premiere of Season 7, highlighting the franchise’s growing ambition to blend streaming and big-screen experiences.
The upcoming season will feature the return of key cast members, including Jonathan Roumie as Jesus, Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, and Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, among others. Their performances have been central to the show’s global popularity and emotional resonance with audiences.
Beyond the United States, ‘The Chosen’ Season 6 will also be available across multiple international markets, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America, reflecting its expanding global footprint.
With its combination of faith-driven storytelling and cinematic scale, the series continues to evolve into a major global property, and the upcoming season is expected to further deepen its impact among viewers worldwide.
