The makers of ‘Prahaar’ have unveiled the first look of Rajkummar Rao as renowned public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Produced by Maddock Films, the biographical drama is scheduled to release in theatres on August 7, 2026.
The first look poster showcases Rajkummar Rao in the role of Ujjwal Nikam, one of India’s most well known public prosecutors, who has represented the prosecution in several high-profile criminal cases. The actor’s transformation into the character has drawn attention from fans and movie enthusiasts.
According to a PTI report, the film is directed by Avinash Arun, known for his work on ‘Three of Us’ and the acclaimed web series ‘Paatal Lok’. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Maddock Films wrote, Why did it take so long to hang Kasab? Rajkummar Rao as Ujjwal Nikam unfolds the truth in ‘Prahaar’. In cinemas 7th August, 2026.
‘Prahaar’ is inspired by the life and career of Ujjwal Nikam and is expected to explore the legal battles and challenges behind some of India’s most significant criminal cases.
