Filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have teased the production of the second season of their popular thriller series ‘Farzi’, led by Shahid Kapoor, sparking excitement among fans of the show. The directors took to social media to share a poster that strongly hints at the return of the much-loved series.
According to a PTI report, Raj & DK posted the teaser poster on their Instagram handle on Tuesday. The poster read, “Round 2 in progress. ‘Farzi’,” while also marking two years since the first season of the series premiered in 2023. The subtle yet clear message was enough to confirm that work on the next chapter of the show is underway, even though no official announcement has been made yet.
Shahid Kapoor, who made his digital debut with ‘Farzi’, also joined in building the buzz. Re-sharing the poster on his Instagram story, the actor posted a picture with Raj & DK and captioned it, “The fakers are back at it @rajanddk.” It further fuelled speculation and anticipation around the new season.
‘Farzi’, which was released on Prime Video in 2023, received strong audience response for its gripping storyline, stylised storytelling, and performances, particularly Kapoor’s portrayal of a small-time artist drawn into the world of counterfeit currency. The series also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, and Kay Kay Menon in key roles.
While the makers have not yet revealed details about the plot, cast additions, or release timeline for ‘Farzi 2’, the teaser has already set expectations high.
