Filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., popularly known as Raj & DK, are deep into preparations for the next action-packed schedule of their much-anticipated Netflix series, ‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom’. The show, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead, promises a gripping blend of action and fantasy set in a mythical era.
As per an ANI report, the creators revealed that most of the indoor and dialogue-heavy portions of the series have already been completed. What now lies ahead is a large-scale outdoor schedule with intense action sequences, which is currently in pre-production. The filmmakers said they are closely tracking the monsoon, waiting for clear skies and flourishing landscapes to match the visual tone of the series.
“This is an ambitious epic project unfolding over multiple schedules. We finished most of our indoor talkie schedule, and we are now prepping for the next big schedule that is mostly outdoors and action,” Raj & DK shared. “The plan is to wait for the rains to clear for a suitable filming window. We also need lush greens for this period piece. So yeah, we are prepping for the next big action schedule,” they added.
Set against the backdrop of a mythical kingdom, ‘Rakt Bramhand’ is expected to offer a richly layered narrative filled with high-stakes drama, expansive world-building, and spectacular visuals. It combines epic fantasy with a modern storytelling edge, something Raj & DK have become known for in their recent work.
The series features an ensemble cast including Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi, alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. Each plays a pivotal role in the saga, which is said to intertwine loyalty, betrayal, and the thirst for power within a fictionalised ancient realm.
With Netflix backing the project, and Raj & DK at the creative helm, expectations are high for ‘Rakt Bramhand’ to push the boundaries of Indian streaming content. As the makers gear up for what promises to be a visually arresting outdoor schedule, fans eagerly await more glimpses from the world of this bloody kingdom.
