Prime Video has officially dropped the trailer for its upcoming original series ‘Rangeen’, a layered, emotionally rich comedy-drama that takes an unfiltered look at love, betrayal, and the chaos of rediscovery. Created and written by Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi, and directed by Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua, the series is produced by acclaimed filmmaker Kabir Khan along with Rajan Kapoor.
The series is part of Prime Video’s growing line-up of compelling Indian originals and was announced today via an official press release by the streaming platform. ‘Rangeen’ brings together humour, heartbreak, and satire, offering a deeply human narrative that reflects the raw and often messy intricacies of modern relationships. The show is set to premiere on July 25 across India and in more than 240 countries and territories globally.
The newly released trailer offers a sharp and humorous look into the unraveling life of Adarsh, played by Viineet Kumar Siingh, a soft-spoken, middle-aged man whose world turns upside down after discovering his wife Naina’s infidelity. What starts as a personal crisis spirals into a bizarre and unexpected quest for revenge. Told with wit and warmth, the series dives into moral ambiguities, shifting identities, and emotional grey zones.
“Rangeen is a sensitive yet humorous story that explores what intimacy, power, and emotional need look like when you’re not in a rom-com,” said co-creator Amardeep Galsin. “We wanted to build a world that worked as a satire — one that walks the tightrope between wit, irony and emotional honesty.” He credited the support of producers Kabir Khan and Rajan Kapoor, the direction of Naithani and Dua, and the cast’s immersive performances in bringing the show’s emotional depth to life.
Co-writer Amir Rizvi added, “Rangeen came from a news article that stuck with us—not so much for what it said, but for what it stirred. It opened a door into a world few talk about. What began as something quirky unfolded into a story that’s layered, emotional, and surprisingly relatable.”
At the centre of this whirlwind is Viineet Kumar Siingh’s portrayal of Adarsh. “He’s a character that felt instantly human—flawed, conflicted, yet deeply sincere,” said Siingh. “What excited me was the chance to portray someone navigating betrayal and self-doubt with humour and quiet intensity. Collaborating with Prime Video and Kabir Khan has been immensely fulfilling.”
Rajshri Deshpande, who plays Naina, added a powerful perspective: “Rangeen isn’t just a twisted relationship drama, it’s a mirror to the complexities we carry in our hearts. Naina’s unapologetic hunger—for desire, for something beyond the boxes she’s put in—drew me to her. The writing doesn’t reduce women to labels. It lets them be messy, searching, and painfully human.”
Alongside Siingh and Deshpande, the cast features Taaruk Raina and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles, adding to the emotional tapestry of the narrative.
With sharp dialogues, layered characters, and an unpredictable storyline, ‘Rangeen’ is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian originals of the year. It blends satire with soul, chaos with care—ultimately asking how far we’re willing to go when life doesn’t follow the script.
