Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer and key art for Harlan Coben’s ‘Lazarus’, the much-anticipated thriller series starring Sam Claflin and Bill Nighy.
The six-part series will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, streaming exclusively in more than 240 countries and territories.
According to a press release from Prime Video, the series is based on an original idea by New York Times bestselling author Harlan Coben, written in collaboration with BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst.
At its centre is Joel Lazarus (Claflin), who returns home after the sudden death of his father, Dr. Jonathan Lazarus (Nighy). What begins as a grieving son’s journey soon turns into a chilling ordeal as Joel experiences unexplainable phenomena and finds himself pulled into the tangled web of unsolved murders — including the haunting mystery of his sister’s killing 25 years ago.
The cast also features Alexandra Roach as Jenna Lazarus, David Fynn as Seth McGovern, Karla Crome as Bella Catton, and Kate Ashfield as Detective Alison Brown. With family secrets colliding with sinister truths, the series promises a gripping narrative built on suspense, psychological intrigue and Coben’s trademark storytelling.
Behind the scenes, the show is executive produced and written by Coben and Brocklehurst (‘Fool Me Once’, ‘Stay Close’), alongside BAFTA-winner Nicola Shindler (‘Happy Valley’, ‘It’s A Sin’) and Richard Fee (‘The Stranger’, ‘Fool Me Once’) for Quay Street Productions. Sam Claflin also serves as executive producer. Episodes one and two are directed by Wayne Che Yip (‘The Rings of Power’, ‘Fallout’), who doubles as an executive producer, while Matt Strevens (‘Doctor Who, Capital’) takes on production duties.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Quay Street Productions in association with Final Twist Productions, Harlan Coben’s ‘Lazarus’ marks another ambitious global original for Prime Video, blending family drama with chilling suspense.
