Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Telugu Original series ‘Isakapatnam’, a crime drama that delves into a world of power struggles, political rivalries, family feuds and gangster warfare. Headlined by Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh, the seven-episode thriller is set in a fictional port town where ambition, greed and revenge collide, shaping the destinies of those vying for control.
According to a Prime Video press release, the series is directed by Garry BH, written by Prashant Ragathi, with dialogues by Tajuddin Syed. Produced by Rahul Tamada and Saideep Reddy Borra under the banner of Tamada Media Productions, ‘Isakapatnam’ will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on July 2. The series will stream in Telugu, with dubbed versions available in Tamil and Hindi, along with subtitles in 15 languages, including English, for audiences in India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into a turbulent coastal town where crime and politics are deeply intertwined. As rival factions battle for dominance, personal loyalties are tested and long-standing conflicts erupt, creating a gripping narrative packed with action, emotional drama and unexpected twists. The story explores how unchecked ambition and the pursuit of power can transform relationships, ignite rivalries and trigger far-reaching consequences.
The series features a strong ensemble cast including Sunil, Naresh Agastya, Merin Philip, Sudhakar Komakula, Rajeev Kanakala, Mime Gopi, Rohini, Banerjee, Jwala Koti, Ravi Varma and Raja Chembolu in pivotal roles.
Speaking about the project, director Garry BH said ‘Isakapatnam’ is built around authentic characters and universal emotions that make the story relatable despite its fictional setting. He noted that themes such as greed, ambition, love, loss and revenge drive the narrative, creating a compelling drama filled with unexpected turns.
“Promising to entertain and enthrall audiences, the story is filled with unexpected twists and turns as the characters cross paths in their pursuit of absolute power,” Garry said, adding that collaborating with Prime Video, Tamada Media Productions and the cast was a rewarding experience.
Samuthirakani, who plays the character Naidu, said the strength of the storytelling and the complexity of his role were the key reasons he joined the project. He described the series as an exploration of how ambition, greed and revenge can influence life-changing decisions.
Aishwarya Rajesh, who portrays Bharati, said her character’s resilience and determination stood out. According to the actor, Bharati navigates a world shaped by conflict and power while maintaining her own sense of agency and conviction.

The series will also form part of the streaming platform’s entertainment slate around Amazon Prime Day, which returns to India this July for its tenth edition.
