Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of ‘Gram Chikitsalay Season 2’, offering a fresh look at Dr. Prabhat’s ongoing mission to revive the struggling Primary Health Centre in the fictional village of Bhathkandi. The comedy-drama series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on June 23 in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

According to a Prime Video press release, the new season continues the story of Dr. Prabhat, played by Amol Parashar, as he navigates a new set of challenges in his efforts to transform the village healthcare system. While he believes earning the coveted “Adarsh PHC” status could solve many of the centre’s problems, he soon realizes that village politics, limited resources, and deep-rooted skepticism among residents present hurdles that extend far beyond medicine.

Created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, directed by Lalitam Tiwari, and written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava, the series is produced by The Viral Fever (TVF). The second season sees Amol Parashar, Akash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, and Garima Vikrant Singh reprise their roles, while actor Dinesh Lal Yadav joins the cast as Babu Saheb.

The trailer highlights Dr. Prabhat’s continuing struggle to win the trust of villagers while dealing with eccentric personalities, local power dynamics, and everyday obstacles that threaten the functioning of the health centre. Despite some early successes, the road ahead appears more complicated than ever.

Speaking about the new season, Amol Parashar said the latest chapter takes his character’s journey in unexpected directions. He noted that while Dr. Prabhat achieves some important victories, a fresh set of challenges tests his resolve. Parashar added that the show effectively highlights real issues in rural healthcare while balancing humour, warmth, and emotional storytelling.

Vinay Pathak, who portrays Chetan Kumar, said ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ reflects TVF’s strength in telling rooted and relatable stories. He noted that the new season deepens relationships between characters while presenting more layered challenges and emotional moments.

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, who plays Dr. Gargi, said the series offers a fresh perspective on rural healthcare, village politics, and the realities of life in small communities. She described her character as confident, practical, and unafraid to voice her opinions.

New entrant Dinesh Lal Yadav said he admired the first season for its authentic portrayal of rural life and community dynamics. He added that the series successfully highlights serious issues in a light-hearted manner, making it both entertaining and thought-provoking.

With its blend of humour, social commentary, and heartfelt storytelling, ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ Season 2 aims to build on the popularity of its debut season and bring audiences back to the world of Bhathkandi when it premieres on June 23.
